About the Author
C.C. Anderson's alter-ego has been a litigation attorney for nearly a quarter century. Practicing law afforded her an excellent opportunity to observe people at their best and worst. These experiences, along with her upbringing in the deep South, inspired Dani Rocco's story as told in Sunday Split, a finalist for the 2020 Killer Nashville Claymore Award.
C.C. lives in Mississippi with her incredibly supportive husband and their beloved dogs and cat.
Oak Hill, Mississippi
Where the ghosts won't leave you alone.
Dani Rocco left her hometown and made her dream life a reality: a condo in D.C., an associate attorney position with a prestigious law firm, and the chance to one day argue before the U.S. Supreme Court. But Dani's perfect life is put on hold when her estranged mother suffers a massive stroke.
After the funeral, Dani can't wait to return to D.C., but Momma's ghost has other ideas. When a local pastor suffers an emotional breakdown in the pulpit, local authorities arrest him for the murder of his missing wife. Despite a fast-approaching deadline to return to her job and a strict policy prohibiting legal work outside the firm, Momma convinces Dani to defend the pastor and search for his missing wife.
With the pastor's freedom on the line, Dani risks her own future to find out what really happened.
